Chelsea (61 points) v Manchester City (46 points)

In their last outing against each other, Manchester City beat Chelsea, 2-1.

In Chelsea’s last outing, Didier Drogba scored two goals against the helpless Wolverhampton Wanderers. Chelsea’s victory put them four points ahead of Manchester United. The Wanderers’ Kevin Doyle gave Chelsea problems but his lone presence was not enough to beat the Blues.

Manchester City played to a draw against Liverpool in their last outing. Both teams failed to attempt and threatening goals.

Chelsea will get their revenge and keep their lead atop the standings.

Birmingham City (37 points) v Wigan Athletic (25 points)

Birmingham held on to beat Wigan 3-2 in their last meeting against each other. Larsson scored two goals and Benitez added another to spoil a good outing by Gomez and N’Zogbia.

Wigan Athletic was completely destroyed by Tottenham in their last match. Wigan lost 3-0. The Hotspurs’ Pavlyuchenko scored a goal and Defoe added two more to seal the deal.

Birmingham City also lost in their game. Fulham beat them 2-1. Duff scored at the

59th minute for Fullham but Zamora scored a very late goal at the 90th minute to bury Birmingham. Birmingham City’s lone goal was an own goal mistake by Baird.

Both teams are coming off big losses but Birmingham will beat Wigan for a second time this season.

Bolton Wanderers (23 points) v Wolverhampton Wanderers (24 points)

The Wolves edged out Bolton in their last game against each other, 2-1. Craddock and Milijas scored the two goals for the Wolves.

Bolton lost 3-0 in their last outing. The Blackburn Rovers completely destroyed Bolton. Kalinic, Roberts and Givet scored for the Rovers.

Chelsea beat Wolverhampton 2-0, as described above.

It will be a close game that may end in a draw, but if a winner were needed to be picked, Bolton would be victorious.

Burnley (23 points) v Portsmouth (16 points)

Portsmouth held Burnley scoreless in their last meeting against each other. Portsmouth held on to victory 2-0.

Burnley didn’t play a lick of defense in their last game. Aston Villa beat Burnley 5-2. Four different players scored for Aston Villa; Young, Downing, Heskey and Agbanlahor. Burnley scored early – in the 9th minute – and very late – 90th minute.

Portsmouth lost to Stoke City 2-1. Stoke City’s Diao scored in the 90th minute to lead his team over Portsmouth.

Both teams are coming off losses, but Portsmouth has been playing a tad better so expect them to beat Burnley.

Stoke City (34 points) v Arsenal (55 points)

Stoke City pulled out a 3-1 victory over Arsenal in an upset. Fuller scored two goals and Whitehead scored in the 86th minute to put the game out of reach.

Stoke City is coming off a win over Portsmouth in its last game as described above.

Arsenal held Sunderland scoreless in a 2-0 victory. Bendtner scored in the 26th minute and Fabregas put the game away with a late penalty kick.

Arsenal will get their revenge over Stoke City, especially counting the recent struggles of Stoke. Arsenal has all the momentum in the world and will destroy Stoke City.
